It's true.
And like many project managers, he endured death by PowerPoint, and hated fluffy meetings that didn't deliver any meaningful outcomes.
Of course, Elvis had different words to explain his distaste for empty words…
A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action, Elvis famously crooned.

I can feel his frustration, and of course, he is right!
It is important to communicate what you want, but without concrete action to back up what is said, the words are useless.
You know what it's like:
Analysis Paralysis
Having the same conversations over and over again.
Pet projects which don't make progress, but continue to meander along.
Getting lost in details, and missing the bigger picture.
If I were to add anything to Elvis’s message, it would be this:
Complexity is the enemy of execution.
If you want to get moving towards your goal, then you better make it easy to understand the outcome.
Because when things are simple, it is simple to act.
So on your next project, remember the wise words of Elvis:
A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action
